If you're looking at new rifles...I would humbly suggest you go with the Marlin either in a model 60 (tube fed) or a model 795 (clip)
At Wally World there is only a few bucks difference between the Mossy and the Marlin 60.
The Mossy is produced overseas somewhere (Philipines ?) and I have heard some complaints about accuracy, function and quality.
By staying with Marlin...you will be getting PROVEN accuracy.
If you opt for the Marlin 7000, you will get a little rifle that in my personal experience, will likely out shoot most "tricked-out" 10/22s..

Whoops ! I looked at the Marlin website..no 7000 ? What happened guys ?
Well, the 795PSS "papoose" is still available..if you want a breakdown .22 that probably shoots like an "average" .22 rifle...
That's right !...You did say "used"..some of the older Mossys are very desireable, #351 or #352K..parts are becoming scarce however..
