The Kimber goes full circle
« on: April 11, 2007, 04:32:29 AM »
My first 1911, purchased about 7 years ago, has been through a variety of stages as a bullseye gun, and the platform for a 22 conversion. It was also a safe queen for a while.

Now it's back in stock factory form (except for 14# recoil spring) as a "shooter". I realized that I just wanted one of my 1911s to be something to take to the range for some fun shooting, instead of conditioning for competition.

It's been a really good gun with good accuracy, good adjustable sights, total reliability, and easy maintenance. Since these Kimbers get used a lot for such fun shooting and informal target practice, I thought I'd mention mine because it's been a very good long-term test machine.
