Worked has slowed a bit, so I finally finished my carriage for my first cannon.

Thunderpaw,

Nice job! I really like your elevating mechanism.  What is the bore size?

Since, no one else has said it yet. We look forward to seeing some smokin' action shots.....  ;D

Good looking work!

Once you get a few coats of paint on that carriage it will be finished. ;)

I second the smoke and fire.

     Thunderpaw

Good Work!     Just stay away from the Krylon can.   I didn't know that black powder came in glass containers.  Not much smoke but a very reliable brand.

My first experience, as a kid with it, was the blasting powder (a little more gentle than black - so as not to shatter the rock) came in 1 quart canning jars - straight from the quarry where my step-dad got it.   ;D

There is something special about one's FIRST cannon.  You've built an elegant one.

You'll never build another just like it, and you'll never feel the same way about another one either.

GOOD JOB!
