Greybeard's Icon
« on: April 13, 2007, 05:25:15 AM »
Just curious, but I gotta ask......what happen to Bill's picture that use to go with all of his post? You know, the one where he is leaning against the fence? On his current post, his icon is now blank. What's the story?

Ya mean avatar? Dunno, I really hadn't noticed it was missing. Reckon I'll have to get Matt to fix it.

Greybeard, Anyone ever tell you that you look like the old western character Gabby Hayes of the 50's? :)

Nope, not that I recall. I've been accused of looking like Willy Nelson and Charlie Daniels tho.

No implication intended GB. Just observation. ;D I am 6'3" and have lost down from about 255 to 240. At my age I have found that I continually put out more shade, if you get my drift. ;)

You guys got it all wrong...Here is how it is.
As you mature, you gain knowledge.  Since there is only some much room upstairs for all that knowledge, it has to go somewhere so it spreads out thru the rest of your body.....at 5'8" and 200 thats my story and I am sticking to it....nuf said.

Guess I got a leak then, cause back a few years ago. OK, it was 20 yrs ago and I did weigh 250, but I cut back on the wine and women.   Maybe thats whats wrong.

As one of the 5' 8" club I feel kind of left out in the knowledge department. I guess as I picked up knowledge it kept falling off as I only go 170.

I feel real ignorant.  I'm only 5'7" and am only carrying 150lbs of "knowledge" around.   In fact I've accumulated a net gain of only 5lbs of "knowledge" since graduating High School in 1980.   More wine might ad to my "knowledge" but I think more women would be counter productive.  ;)

Hmmmm.....I'm 6'1" and have 223lbs of knowledge. I certainly don't think it's "higher knowledge", but perhaps it's just knowledge from a different perspective. ;D

Ya know, this is a very positive and enlightening discussion. It has explained a good many changes in my perspective on the observation of my wife noticing the increase in shade when I am around. Now I have an educated explanation. All I have to do is convince her of the newly acquired information being factual. ;D

You know, on that "shade" issue....the quick fix is to just avoid her on sunny days! ;D
