Mueller 8.5x25x44 VS. Tasco Varmint 6x24x42

Just wondering if anyone has owned both and if the mueller is much clearer than the tasco, and if it is worth upgrading to.

No comparison I've owned both, still have the Eraticator on a 204 Ruger, the Tasco is a $75 scope, while it may work fine for your purposes, the Eraticator is a lot more scope with excellent Japan glass. The Tasco had somewhat of a yellowish hue to the view and on higher power settings, got a bit cloudy.

Yeah i know what you mean about the yellow tint, Im looking at the tactical not the Eraticator, but im asuming they are pretty much the same scope minus the red dot and 50mm objective. I have been looking around and havnt heard many complaints about the muellers,so i will probally give one a try
Thanks
Ben

I have been looking at that exact Mueller scope for a .223, 90% + of which, for my intended purpose, would be for long range target shooting.  I'm not sure how much they cost, but I would definately take a close look at 'em.  I wish I had the time to buy one and go to the gun range and release some stress from work!  :D
