I got a price today of $300, for the ultra varmint, 24"bb, lam stock, scope rail,trigger extender, NEW,  PRICE GOOD?  THIS WILL BE MY FIRST H&R

That's a bit high, you can get the fluted Ultra for that, of course you have to consider shipping and FFL fees. I hope ya mean hammer extender, too!!!

I cant locate a walmart that sells guns, I live on long island ny, is there an easier way then calling them all?

Another dealer that has great prices is Whittakers, they aren't in NY tho, great to deal with, you just need a local dealer for them to ship to, just like anyone else if you buy out of state. Bud's is another online dealer.

I paid 249 for my 223 ultra Varmint about 6 years ago, I was at the same shop last week and they had a 243 ultra for 260. If you cant find one cheaper than 300 it will still be $$ well spent.

Put a &100 down at a local gun shop, I thought they would be expensive, but $245, the best i found

 Got my Ultra Varmint last month at Gander Mountain for $250.

There was a hardware store near me that had bought about 80 of them from a supplier that went out of business.  They were selling them, until recently, for $199.  My dad, who doesn't live near me, got me one for Christmas at Cabelas.  The said they couldn't go that low, but sold it to him for cost which was $220.  I didn't know about this site before or I could have told you guys about the $199 deal (for anyone who lives near northwestern, WI.)
