gun poll
« on: April 20, 2007, 05:08:00 AM »
Here is another poll at abc news and it looks bad for the anti-gunners. I can't get the link to work actively, so you will need to enter it in manually unless someone can get it to work in their post.

This from AP in today's paper. "Americans Remain Split Over Guns". 47% said firearm controls should be tightened,38% said they should be unchanged, and 11% said they should be loosened. Just more than half said they are likely to support a presidential candidate who favors tougher gun control laws. This is from an AP-Ipsos poll.

Here are some FACTS concerning guns. Bear with me and read thru.

There are 700,000 thousand doctors in the the United States.
There are 120,000 accidental deaths caused by doctors per year.
Accidental deaths per doctor is 0.171
This statistic is from the U.S. Dept. of Health and human Services

There are 80,000,000 gun owners in the United States.
There are 1500 accidental deaths INVOLVING "ALL" AGE GROUPS per year.
This means the accidental death per gun owner is .000188
These statistics are furnished by the Federal Bureau of Investigation

This means that doctors are about 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Point! Guns don't kill people, doctors do. Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has a doctor.

We should not ban guns but, should ban doctors.

Statistics concerning accidental death due to lawyers has been intentionally left out as it might cause a wave of panic and cause gun owners to seek medical attention from their doctor. ;D

Finally got to vote on one of these polls.  They've always been removed by the time I see the link.  I sure would like to see ABC publish these results.  I doubt it though, they are so blatantly anti-gun it is pitiful.
