200th round range report
« on: April 20, 2007, 09:56:36 AM »
made it to the range today with the last 50 rounds loaded up for my .280Rem. Had 32 Sierra Game Kings in 140gr, and 12 Hornady 139gr sst's. All were loaded at the max listed or just under. All the rounds had been fired once in my Handi, then tumbled clean. Had loaded most with IMR4831 and 10 with RL22 with the sierra GK. First group at the middle target are the GK's w/ RL22. The upper right target are GK's and IMR4831. The lower right are the Hornadys with IMR4831. The Hornadys opened up quite a bit over the GK's, so the last 10 shots were on the shoot'n'see target with the GK's. Seems this rifle likes the RL22 and GameKings. All the groups were of 3 or 4 shot groups with about a minute or so between shots. The wind was blowing pretty good from behind me and right making it difficult to hold the rifle steady even on bags.

Looks like you're off to a fairly good start.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
