I priced the cinnamon lams about a year ago. With checkering they were about $90 - $95, uncheckered was a little cheaper. If I remember correctly from H&R
I got the idea of buying a Ultra then sending in for a 30-06 barrel. I really do not want a .308 and a 30-06
I do not want a .243 and I already have a .223 Ultra with a couple of extra barrels. I could buy the stock set like you suggested, but I am a cheap skate
Just trying to figure the best angle. It is half of the fun
BTW I know you pretty well. I have been looking at this site for the past two years 4 - 5 times/week. In fact I know all of the regular posters fairly well. Just decided to join because there were times I wanted to comment on posts. I do not have many questions, because you guys cover every thing so well usually more than 1 time. You will get to know me better as time goes on. It looks to me that most of you think along the same lines I do, that is why I like it so well. And I do like range reports, very interesting, even If I do not have an interest in the caliber/chambering. It makes me dream of getting out and doing a little shooting, no matter the gun.
