ruger P-95 ???

 anyone ever change front sights on these? are t hey pins or small set screws?  i wantto put on some williams fire sights i think?  any help? also the mag release on the right sidfe really sticks out on them> anyone shave some off off theirs> ? just a few questions up for discussion, i like the pistol  and think it can be a good one to keep around, with a few improvements,  any help?

I've worked a bit with a P95 but not to change the sights. The attached diagram shows the front sight pinned in place and so it should present no problem. I dislike ambi safeties on carry guns. They always seem to be just sitting there waiting to be brushed off. Still modifying safety devices is a process fraught with danger.. I might consider dehorning it first see if that might help. The disign is typical Ruger, way over engineeredv and nearly bullet proof. The designs seem a tad blocky to me but don't seem prone to any generic problems.

i went ahead with a dremmel tool ground and polished off  the right side of the mag release  helped a whole lot and it still usable , since they slide forward not in,  i wouldnt fool with any safety devices on any gun myself either thanks for the input

Sorry about that. Somehow I read safety instead of mag release.. brain burn? In any case that was also a good call. Extended mag releases are another pet peeve. It's embarrassing to draw a weapon and have the mag either gone or fall out after the draw..

well not only easily hit an release the mag it hurt my  middle finger when i shot it  the finger layed right on it, i ordered some william fire sights , ill attemt to change them, looks as if the front  is just pinned ?
