Taurus 85B for CC
« on: April 22, 2007, 10:33:20 AM »
I saw a pair of these on GunBroker for $257.  I was at Gander lookin' around and they had 'em for $299.  After transfer fees and shipping, it's just about a wash.

So, what about them??  Do any of you guys/gals have one??  How do they shoot?  Any problems??

I have one, I like it for CC.  I bought it mainly for my wife to carry but, I end up with it most of the time.  It is accurate enough for its intended purpose but by no means is it a target gun.  at 25 yards it will keep all shots on the target with careful aim,but what do you expect with a 1 7/8 in bbl.

Cookieman,

I used to have a Taurus 85. I had to pawn it because of money problems at the time, but I wish I wouldn't have. The wife and I both loved the gun. I never shot it at 25 yards but it made a nice little cloverleaf at 7 yards. I couldn't believe it was able to shoot so well, even at such a short range, with that short barrel. I would recommend it without a doubt. You might even fall in love with it and have to buy two! ;)
