Buffalo Classic prices
« on: April 22, 2007, 02:03:32 PM »
At a recent gun show I saw a Buffalo Classic for $395.The gentleman would not budge from that price.
Question#1-What are the going prices on these in used but excellent condition?
Question#2-Are they hard to obtain these days?

RR sells em new for $326, but they seldom have em in stock, Sportsmans Warehouse's price is $350, last year they were $300 :-\, used ones go for $250 and up.

Thanks Tim.If RR doesn't carry them in stock then their price is irrelevant isn't it?I thought the new price of around $350 was correct. The guy at the gun show was admittedly high but then hey ,it's a gun show where dealers make instant fortunes.LOL.

Well, it is and it isn't, they had 17 of em in stock not all that long ago, so ya just have to catch em when they got em. They'll email you when they get em in stock, just put your email address in the box, I got an email from em on another rifle, so it does work. ;)

To me the BC's with the ejectors are worth more, I have one of each, the one with the extractor is going in to be reamed to .45-120.

I bought my BC last weekend at Sportsmans Warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa for $299.99. When we got to the check out counter the clerck said it rang up at $349.99. I got it for $299.99.

I ordered mine from a small gun shop in Williamsport PA.  $329.00.  I had to wait about a month because his supplier didn't have them in stock but that's about the best price I have been able to find.  Most of the Wal Mart stores have gotten out of the gun business but their special order price was in the $315.00 neighborhood.  By the time I had the funds they were out of the business in our area.  If you have a Wally World you may want to check there.

Why is there never enough time to do it right but there is always enough time to do it again?

:-\Almost two years ago I bought my BC from Cabella's (PA) used but as new for $425. You know, I'm not even sorry. I've not seen another since (but not looking either). It's too much fun to be worrying about a hundred or so dollars! Lee

BANG OW is quite correct, if you can find one with an ejector it's worth more than one with just the extractor, you can always either temporarily or permanently convert it to an extractor only if you want to use it in those events (CASS, Quigley, or whichever it is that requires extractors only). You cannot however convert an extractor only to an ejector...<><....:)
