I use to shoot carp in the Sacramento delta {CA} But stopped after i cooked one of those things. House started to stink of fertilizer so I tossed it. It is a lot of fun though.  3 tips.
 1 shoot low
 2 be careful not to shoot your feet or your boat. {this is meant as a joke, but head it anyway!}
 3 Never, Never, lay your bow across the gunwale's of a small aluminum skiff on a sunny day!!!  I ruined a bow that way. It warped. the string comes off anytime you draw that bow now. I tried setting it in the sun, the other side up. nope it's just ruined .
 I have been real busy of late, no time to play or even go on the computer much. I do hope that will change soon.  What do you shoot here  in KY?                           A good day to all    D.C.

We used to go to the dam on the Ky River near Carrolton and wear some gar out bowfishin' just gotta be real quick. My Dad always said it was good practice for deer bow season. It is good for learning to aquire targets fast and if you can hit a fish swimming about it makes it much easier on a deer ....hellbilly
I break for animals, I eat them and wear their skins.

I like that logic. I live in Illinois and we have some good carp fishing here, I'm gonna gonna it a try.
