Anybody shoot FMJ for practice?

I was thinking of getting some .277 115 grain for a 6.8 SPC Encore pistol barrel, as it seems it might be cheaper to shoot these for practice......

I shoot a lot of FMJ's in 30 caliber. In a lot of different 30 cal rifles. from  30-30 , 308, and 30-06. Cost effective for plinking rounds or rock busting.  Also shoot some Armour piercing , mostly out of 30-06. Does a pretty good job on a pretty good size rock. :o

I use a lot of fmj in my K 31 Swiss rifle. It is dirt cheap and with just a little fussing you can load it quite accurately. I can't use it for hunting, but it is definitely good for punching paper. You might want to think about cast bullets for practice as well.

I buy Rem 115 fmj by the 1000 for a good discount and shoot them in my 6.8 all the time. Accurate and economical.
