BK-N-Bass could you please explain why you have to keep buying pistol permits? Do you have to buy one before you purchase a handgun in your state?

YES HERE IN NJ  FOR EACH PISTOL YOU WANT TO BUY YOU NEED A PERMIT ....ITS NOT THE COST THAT IS THE BOTHER ITS ONLY 2$ IF YOU HAVE A UP TO DATE GUN CARD (IF NO UP TO DATE CARD IT CAN TAKE 4 TO 8 MONTHS + AROUND 55$ TO GET THE PROPER PAPER WORK)BUT EVEN WITH A GOOD CARD AND A CKECK FOR 2$ IT STILL CAN TAKE  1 TO 3 WEEKS TO GET THE PERMIT....THEY ARE GOOD FOR ONLY 90 DAYS ...THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM IF THE GUN IS READILY AVAILABLE   BUT THESE DANG G2s AINT COOPERATING.... :D

Hey, the liberals are in the middle of the country, too.  Here in Missouri we have to have a purchase permit for handguns.  They are obtained from the local sheriff at a cost of $20 each.  No big problem, but now instead of instantly (15-20 minutes) they make you wait three days in my county.  Obviously this could become a big problem if we get a gun unfriendly sheriff.  Of course, Missouri is also one of a minority of states that don't have a carry permit - failed a vote of the people a few years ago due to big city unions.  It was passed overwhelmingly in rural areas but defeated in Kansas City and St. Louis, mostly as a result of union bosses and the likes of the Klintons getting involved in State politics.  Let me tell you guys, this sucks!

It passed in something like 92% of the counties but because of St. Louis it failed by a very fine margine. I hope St. Louis wallows in it's high crime rate!  KN

Hey Guys____ What's all the hoopla about the G-2's,how much better are they going to be then the T/C Contenders, I might be wrong on this but wont they weigh close to the Encores,other then letting down hammer and then cocking without opening frame,I don't see it ,you can't fire any more powerful rounds,why not just stick with T/C or go with Encore,aren't the G-2 redundent.THANKS BAYRUNNER

Bayrunner;
     The G2 only weighs 1.6 ozs more than the old Contender. In addition to being able to recock the hammer without opening the action, the action is now much easier to open, there is a new selector on the hammer to switch from centerfire to rimfire to safe easily. The trigger is also nice, mine breaks cleanly at 2 pounds 13oz out of the box. Yes, same caliber limitations but the beefed up frame gives you an extra safety margin. The grip is also redesigned and I feel handles recoil well.
