Valmet Conversion to Double triggers

Last night I spent 12 hours (it was actually 2 hours) converting the Valmet from single triggers to double triggers.  A friend was kind and sent me a set of double triggers.  I think the next trigger job will take 30 mins.

Where may I ask can you get double triggers?

If they are available it could actually get me to buy a Valmet.

double triggers can be found.  But they are difficult to find.

I did that on a Valmet 12 gauge back about 30 years ago. IIRC I got the triggers from Dixie Gun works. I don't recall it being terribly difficult but like I said, that was thirty years ago. Recently I converted my Fausti 20 ga O&U with some triggers from my miscellaneous junk boxes. They took a bit of rigging but I'm happy with the result. I can live with a single trigger if the selector is on the top tang but those with the silly button in the trigger itself might just as well be non-selective.

Joe the first time it took 90 mins and several beers, or maybe it was 90 mins because of the beers

Agreed.  But the double trigger still has an advantage.

Yep, I've always felt that one of the greatest advantages to double barrels was that you have the option of carrying two different loads and two different chokes. To make use of that one certainly needs a means of selecting which barrel will fire. Perhaps it's because I grew up with two triggers but I've always found that double triggers were more instinctive to use in a hurry than even the best top tang selector.
