American Arms - Regulator
« on: April 27, 2007, 04:29:47 PM »
Got a nickel American Arms Regulator SAA revolver. It's made by Uberti, and is laser engraved, in .44-40. Shoots well and looks mighty pretty. Bought it as a beginning of an arsenal to be used in cowboy action shooting.........

The perplexing thing to me is the lack of info I can find about this piece. Anyone know anything about the company, or model? I believe the company went belly-up, and can't find alot on the Uberti site about this handgun.

Took 'er to the local gunsmith for a minor repair, which is what set me thinking again.

If anyone can clue me in, I'd sure appreciate it.

I believe you are refering to American Western Arms. The original company did go out of business, but an arrangement was made with their gunsmith to continue supporting the products and he was given all their spare parts. These are not Uberti's, but are Armi Sports. They are well made and assembled in Florida. I have 2 of their longhorns in .45 Colt and have been very happy with them.
