10mm
« on: May 07, 2007, 09:01:31 AM »
I was shooting my 715 and Smith 610 the other day and was thinking to myself.  Boy I would love to have a Dan Wesson revolver in 10mm.  I like the 610 but the changeable barrels would be nice.  Nothing I can do about it.  Just thinking out loud.  What do you think?

I sure would like to see a full range of revolvers from DW! But, with their limited capabilities, it probably will never happen. And, I don't get the impression that CZ is committed to expanding DW's revolver line. So, all we can do is just appreciate that they are still around, and supporting us that have their guns already (parts and labor, etc.). They sure build FINE revolvers!!
Well loved tools & toys:  All Dan Wessons of course:
.22LR, .357 Mag, .44 Mag 6"V SS, .44Mag 6"VH SS, .445 SM 4" SS, .445 SM 8" original IHMSA built gun, .414 SM 4"

I agree with Steel Shooter, But when CZ purchased Dan Wesson they specifically stated that it was for the revolvers they already have a good market of the semi's.

I would just like to see them get some production out of the current revolver calibers 357 44, if they can not get those going they will never make it in the revolver market. The 10mm is the odd man out I like it but I do not know if there is a big enough demand for another revolver in that caliber, I do not see Dan Wesson ever making it.

I can remember a time when people were comparing the 10mm cartridge to the 357 magnum.  So my question would be...why?  You have far more options with 357 and it is much less costly to shoot.  But I can understand your thought on this, just the same as my desire to own a Coonan or one of the other semi-autos that can shoot 357 mag.

I think Smith & Wesson did have a 10mm revolver at one time, I believe the things have reached collector status are are selling for insane amounts of $$.

Maybe so, but to only offer the Alaskan and BH (?) both in .445SM?! Come on, I think they need to get back with it and bring the boys back home. Where is my 414? how about my 360DW/357max?
