The 38-55 would be the most likely donor if you want a long barrel.

thinks quick i dont mind the long barrel i have a buffalo classic now in 45-70 love it. the 38-55 is not my cup of tea so i might use one.

The 38-55 wasn't my cup O' tea either, mine became a .405 Winchester before I ever shot it, bought it at SW, took it straight to my gunsmith for a sex change!!!
