New old cannon revisited
« on: May 07, 2007, 03:32:07 PM »
I mentioned a new(old) cannon that I got here a while back.  I made a period stand for it and thought that I'd share.

I think that I mentioned this but it is German, ca. 1540.  Approx 45" long with a 1.25" bore.  You can see reminents of period paint on it.  Unfortunately it is unmarked but the form places it in that period.

Must not have had much recoil because that stand sure couldn't take much.

Did it shoot arrows, bolts, darts or something similar?
