Sourdough? Whatcha think?

FYI this grizzly was photographed (this week) along the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper, Alberta.
My own guess would be that it's between 7-1/2' to 8', not too sure about weight... maybe 650-700 lbs?

While I'm no bear expert, that's a big bear.  Look at the size of the head compared to the size of the body.  The head looks tiny in comparison.  Like I said I'm no expert but I think that bear will go 7.5 to 8 ft. nose to tail.  It is definately a trophy animal.  Also check out the depth of it's belly.  Heavy animal, I would easily believe this is a fall bear, not a spring animal.  It wintered over very well.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

These days, thats a big bear. I would guess 700 lbs which these days is real big. Not many of those 1000 pounders around anymore.
shot placement is everything.
