How 'bout one for the road??
« on: May 10, 2007, 11:33:39 AM »
Found this Bobcat as a road kill.  I estimate is was laying there less than an hour (still warm).  I got the DOW to release it to me and I was originally going to just skin it and try to save as much of the hide as possible.  Now I'm leaning towards a life size mount.

The right side is pretty good as you can see but the left rear is missing quite a bit so I was thinking of some type of mount that would hide it's left side.

Anybody ever take road kill to a taxidermist or thoughts on what to do.  I bagged it and put it in the freezer until I can figure out what to do.

I normally don't deal with road kill but I guess now I'm not above it either.

Good day sir, how about sitting with the left side to a wall? with it sitting maybe the hide can be stretched to cover more?. Good luck.....Bill
