Belding & Mull back in business

Those of you lucky enough to own some of their fantastic loading equpment, especially their powder measure/drop tubes, might be happy to know that.  They're located about 14 miles west of me, and I heard their first commercial on a the local country station yesterday.  Gave them a call, and they currently have the measures/tubes, cleaning rods and some other stuff in stock.  They intend to have all the products they were known for back in stock ASAP.  They're working on a website which ought to be ready soon.  For now, they can be reached at 1-800-342-1800. Local number is (814) 342-1800.  Best powder measure I've ever used.

Sounds great. Someone let us know when a web site is available.

Joel,
Bless you Sir!
That's the best news that I've seen posted on the Web in a long time.
Please post any updates that you have.
I bought mine back in 1950,for about 20 bucks. Bought new parts about 20 years later for 50 bucks. It is still my favorite powder measure because I'm an IMR powder Fan. My two RCBS measures are set up for finer powders.

I'm about like you, Frank. 'Bout all I use is IMR and those tubes are great for that.  Only have a couple, need to buy a couple more.  Got an old Lyman 55 for other powders, but it hardly ever gets used.  B&M was a fine little company, and it's good to see someone bringing back something that stood for quality.  I'm hoping their standards are the same, anyway.

Joel,
My first handloading manual was the B&M handbook.
About 10 years ago,I bought a digital powder scale. When I weighed the charges from my B&M measure,I thought that it was worn, the way it happened in the past. Further testing proved that the old measure was more reliable then the new digital scale. I no longer weigh powder on the digital scale.

This truly is good news. The measure is perhaps the finest ever marketed for dealing with long grained extruded powders.

With Lyman producing such a limited number of moulds these days there are real "holes" in their line. I hope B&M also starts making thier old series of moulds. For instance, B&M 403185 is a far better bullet for many revolvers chambered in 38-40 than is Lyman # 401(0)43.
