is it just me, or is the contender easier to shoot than 6 shooters

off hand i do much better with a revolver. Tcs are just to ackward to grip right for me when shooting offhand.

Contenders shoot better for me.  At one time I sold all my revolvers and only had Contenders.  Then I bought a S&W and determined I shot them better than any other revolvers that I had owned and now have three of them to go with the Contenders.

Handguns are like good jeans. You gotta try 'em on and see how they fit. My T\C handguns are very accurate, but shootin 'em offhand is the last thing to do if I want to actually hit the target. My buddy has a Ruger Redhawk. Very nice gun but it doesn't fit my hand well. I own 3 Smith revolvers. They just fit. I will shoot 'em all off hand....no problem...and out to 35 yards, hit the target 80% on bad days.

Barrel length and grip for a contender make a big difference.  With a custom grip, <10 inch barrel, the Contender can be quite nice.  A flared butt makes a good deal of difference, and everybody makes one for a reasonable price.

Love the blackhawks, though.
