Hello...
I would be very wary of a tag that reads "Nazi proofed and accepted" on an M95. Beware of fakes...they're out there!
Most M95 carbines encountered are cut-down rifles, and most have the "S" stamped on the receiver. You can recognize a cut-down rifle by the long rifle-type ladder sight. I think the designation "95/34" is the correct designation for these rifles, referring to the year they were cut-down. The M95 carbines in original caliber - 8X50R - have small carbine rear sights. These are more desirable and relatively rare. The cut-down rifles are 8x56R caliber. The bullet diameter for these are .329. You have to special order bullets, as the usual .323 8mm bullet will provide terrible accuracy. Graf's has cases and bullets for the 8x56R. Mine is fun to shoot, with very stout recoil. Accuracy is not bad for a carbine. I find on mine that it shoots insanely high, so if I flip up the rear sight blade and use the sight at the base of the blade, I can get on target. It still shoots high, but this brings it down onto the paper.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Cheers,
Gary
