Besides agreeing with what's already been said, if you want it bad enough, just have one built. I do know that Ruger has made some 5 shot prototypes in at least two chamberings that obviosuly never reached production. I believe it's due to the vast majority of ppl with the Ruger strong mentality and would proberly over laod the cartridge to dangerous levels. With the sue-happy, not-my-responsability society we live in, it's too much of a liability I think for them to concentrate on.
No that said...They obviously haven't had any issues with the .454 chamberings in the SRH. They use a different alloy than the BH's. There must be some reason they wouldn't use this same alloy for the single actions.
As a guess, I'm thinking that perhaps they'd need a slightly larger frame for such a model. That's whole design/engineering/testing is VERY costly. Perhaps that niche of the market isn't enough to warrant that much funding.
