Hubbard's replacement ramrod

As some of you may have read on here about the Hubbard's ramrod, but hadn't seen them, here is a couple of close ups of the one that I just got.  It ended up costing $35 shipped.  In my opinion is that it is a lot better than the factory one, and it weighs a bit more.  It works the same way as the factory one(screw/unscrew).  It is threaded for the standard threads to use the normal ramrod tips.  The handle is made of aluminum instead of wood, and the tip that it comes with is concave to use pointed bullets.  I would recommend it, Mr. Hubbard is a great guy to do business with, and quick to respond to emails as well.  Oh yeah, he also shipped the ramrod in a short piece of pvc pipe....can't get much sturdier than that!!!  Here they are.

One more note: The Hubbard rod also is two inches longer than the stock rod when extended which is another real good advantage as there is more of the very solid rod to grasp. I also have one and am really impressed with the function and quality of build.

I made it back to Ohio, and got some pictures taken of my huntsman with the new breechplug, and ramrod in place.  It kind of gives you and idea how the new rod fits.  I really like it since I put the Millet red dot on too....points like a shotgun.
