Senatorial sellout...

        Democrats propose..the Republicans dispose..A cozy relationship in our national senate !  Old, gross Teddy announced a new "immigration bill".
  He had some Republicans beside him, patting his back...and singing... Kumbayah !

        Yesterday we were sold out as a people by our "august members" of the senate...on both sides of the aisle !
   
   Why I ask, should we have a new law ? We already have viable laws on the books...let's just start enforcing them !

    If they did enforce our present laws, some of those lawbreakers that are sponsoring "sanctuary" cities and so-called churches would be spending some time with other pampered nuisances like Paris Hilton !

   I would like to predict that if this law passes, it will not be enforced any better than the present ones. All it will do is give fence breakers and border busters some form of legal status !
  Also, the "wall" will likely not be built..if portions are constructed, there will be 2-way swinging doors installed....

  All this will go on while a couple former hard working border guards will be rotting in jail !

  There has not been an administration in the last 20 or so years that wanted to curb this illegal takeover of much of our country.
   
   Traditionally, the unions have wanted to protect American's jobs; but obviously not now, when there is a potential gain of thouisands of DUES-PAYING members...

  Why ? ...Follow the money/votes trail !

  Our politicians and union fat-cats are getting ready to sell out OUR heritage...for a mess of pottage ! Remember this on election day..and when unions ask the American people for some kind of sympathy.

  Yesterday, our elected representatives gleefully cast aside our Constitution and granted special privileges to a select group of lawbreakers !

Ironglow, I am disgusted by what you wrote.  Not because of your views or opinions, but because they are dead on.  It sickens me that we can't come up with 51 senators who have the nads to deal with this problem the way it should be dealt with.

How should it be dealt with is simple.

Order the border patrol to shoot on sight. Advise all illegals living in the USA at this time they have 72 hours to get out or face criminal proceedings and forfeiture of all property. Do not give citizenship to children born to people illegally here. Advise these people that if they want a better life come here legally, or to work to make their country a better place.

   The whole crux of the matter that I was trying to point out is:

           We don't need NEW laws or MORE laws....All we need is some elected representatives who have enough integrity to ENFORCE THE LAWS we already have !!

That we do but sadly those types seem lacking these days. Everyone seems to think only of themselves and what this country can do for them not what they can do for their country. We have no true patriots in office these days that I'm aware of.
