load data for .45 colt Handi
« on: May 18, 2007, 03:12:57 PM »
Will be using 250gr. cast (no gas check) or 250gr. hornady xtp. Any pet loads you all have will help alot. First time to load for this rifle.

Thank You

I've only shot the 250gr Speer GDHP in mine, a max load of Lil'gun got me 1917fps and a nice 100yd group, I'm sure I could tighten that up with a little more glass on the rifle, but that's probably what to expect with the factory sights and good eyes, which I don't have!!! That's with a 1-3x20 Weaver V3 which the X-hair completely covered the diamond aim point. :-\

Are you sure that the second Unique load under the pistol loads is right?  Looks like you have it a bit too high.

Not if making a grenade is you intention.
10.5 to 11.5 grains of Unique should get you around 1150 out of a Ruger.
