Rifles are ready
« on: May 21, 2007, 12:11:51 PM »
Took the RED monster out for its final tune-up today , was shooting at 300 and 400 yards . I was able to cover 5 shots with the palm of my hand , maybe  3 1/2" to 4" groups so that ought to do well on the dogs .

My load was 25.5 grains of IMR 4895 under a 55 grain Hornady V-Max with CCI srps , my goto load .

Come On June ---  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Cool, that is a good load.

I sighted in my .22 Hornet the other day, I was amazed with it.  I think that this Handi might be the ticket for a fun gun.  I think, key word think, I found a Choate Survivor stock for 15 bucks so that might go on the Handi along with an O ring to see what happens with it.

I do know next year the Handi will be sporting a better and bigger scope and I will have more ammo to play with.  With the end of school extended this year and a lack of reloading dies in my area I am holding off and using the Privi Partisan ammo.  Wish I had more than 250 rds though.

I second June getting here quick!
