Marlin 1894 in 41Mag

I just ordered one of these and am curious if anyone here has one.  I might not get mine for some time as these are in limited supply.  How does yours shoot?  Have you tried any lead bullets in the Micro Groove barrel?

Thanks.

Go to marlinfirearms.com.  In their bullentin board under Cowboy Guns some people have made comments.  I was going to buy one.  I looked at one at a store last week and was not impressed.  The action was very rough and the wood left a lot to be desired.  They all cannot be like this, because quite honestly, I lost my interest in buying one.  Some of the people on the Marlin site are reporting good and bad things.

KciH,

Although I don't have a lever action 41 mag (doesn't mean I don't want one), I have found that the microgroove barrels are excellent cast bullet shooters once you have found the proper load.  My microgroove 30-30 will print 5 round groups at 100 yards under 1" all day long.  Don't let the microgroove aspect of the 41 lever scare you off.  Just be prepared to experiment A LOT!  If you like to shoot, that can be a plus...
