I'd like to find a couple of good wool blankets. You might try just hanging them out on a clothesline and let the fresh air get the mothball smell out.
A wool blanket can be made into a good bedroll, by getting a tarp just a little bigger in size than the blanket and sewing one end of the blanket to one end of the tarp, then fold it over and roll it up and keep in your car trunk or behind the truck seat for when you need an emergency bedroll. To use, just fold it in half with the tarp on the outside and slide into the wool blanket to keep warm and dry.
