When Remington first announced their rolling block, there were to be three cartridges. If memory serves they were the 30-30, 444 and 45-70. Only the 45-70 was ever made.
I've got a new Remington in 45-70. Horrible gun. Finally I had Lone Star rebuild it. The attachment of the forarm was VERY badly done. The barrel was held onto the frame only by the extractor. The sights were a mess. The screw holes in the frame were SUBSTANTIALLY larger than the screws.
This was EXTREMELY poor workmenship. They clearly just didn't give a damn. A Pedersoli (I have two) is a FAR better gun. Lone Star, of course, makes the best rolling blocks.
