.35 Bullberry Question
« on: May 24, 2003, 04:59:08 PM »
Is the .35 Bullberry based on the 30-30 necked up to .35 caliber, and how does it compare to the .35 Remington as far a velocity/energy is concerned?  Is this the same as th .35 Rimmed?  Thanks in advance!

Yup..the case is the 30-30 necked up with less body taper or the .375 win necked down to 35, and will do anything the 35 Rem will do in a contender. I have had one for about 20 years and it is a real good deer cartridge. Think of it as a streatched version of the .357 herret..no case trimming involved. I also use 38/55 cases but they need a small amount of trimming. Very easy to load for as you can use 35 rem dies or 357 herret dies. It is very versitle and mine shoots both .357 and .358 bullets equally well. I prefer H-322, AA2015, H4198 and reloder 7. Mine is a 12 in tube and will run 180 SSP's at around 2200 fps and very accurate as well.
