T/C Encore and it's aftermarket add-ons
« on: May 28, 2007, 08:40:08 AM »
Well, I must say that when I 1st bought & shot my Encore I was really impressed overall!! Knowing that I could achieve better groups and more enjoyable, less-flinch developed shooting I installed a Limbsaver Precision fit recoil pad and a Nikon Omega scope.
WOW!! :o :o.........What a difference! I can now easily and comfortably shoot damn near all day with this set-up.
I'm shooting the Hornady 300gr SST's & 110grs loose 777 powder, with this load I was printing 3/4" @100yds.
I am very happy & very impressed with what these add-ons allow the shooter to obtain in accuracy with an allready accurate muzzleloader.

those limbsavers are nice. I put one on my winchester and it makes shooting those 385 grainers feel like a  10mm kick.

I just got a used 209x50 barrel for my encore and I can hardly wait to try it out.  I have the pro hunter thumbhole stock on mine because it has a limbsaver.  I don't know what I ever did without those recoil pads.

The SIMS recoil pad works equally well with my .300 Win Mag barrel too, if only the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 had a tad more eye relief. ;)

My Encore Pro Hunter is fitted with the Simms recoild pad and I love it. It honestly does soak up the shot! Plus, I also mounted the Realtree Nikon Omega scope on her..... she's beautiful!
An archer tries to see how far away he can get from his target and still connect, a "Bowhunter" tries to see how close he can get to his.
