I plan on buying one of these Ruger .357 but I need help deciding the barrel length. I plan on shooting paper and bowling pins with them. I'm not carrying it for self defense either, just something to shoot along with my Marlin 1894 .357. I plan on reloading for the Ruger as well. What barrel length would you get? Are you happy with yours? I never shot one of these. Hows the trigger and accuracy? If anything, what would you change?

Hey NY RifleMan!

EDITED BY Graybeard. You MAY NOT post guns for sale on any of my discussion forums nor list guns on my classifieds that are on auction sites. Please read my rules.

Dead accurate, super strong!  I like the longer barrels myself, just a sight radius preference though.  Any length will serve you well!

I love all of mine.

Got a bunch of Ruger SA's but just one .357 that I shoot, a Bisley.  Shoots great.  I prefer the longer bbls myself.  Buy it and at the same time gorder a set of Wolff springs and change out the hammer and trigger reurn springs.  Will give a better feeling.
The longer bbls willl give a slightly better result in accuracy and allow better sighting with the longer sight radius.

Mine has a 4-5/8" barrel.  My only complaint is the ejecter rod is too short to fully eject the cases.  Love the gun any way.

Pick the one that feels best balance wise in your hand. You'll probably find you can shoot it best.   KN
