Excellent guns. They are a quality product. I've current got a couple of them and have had others that I let go of. There is one more I'm mulling over in my mind right now. I've got .45 Colt and .357 Magnum chamberings and am toying with the idea of a .44-40.

I was looking at two different ones both .44 mag.   One had a twenty inch barrel the other had a sixteen they were both $450.00 does that sound about right to ya'll.  Seemed a little high to me, but I may be wrong.  These were both plain with blued barrels and actions.

I have a 92 Rossi, 357 it has become my all time favorite "grab it gun" I also have 44 Mags and still find the 357Magnum a good all around cartridge/carbine combination    Doug

Sounds high to me, but I'm not in Texas (yet). I bought a Puma 92 20 in carbine in .45 Colt last fall for $365 in Maine. Love the gun. To me, the stock sights are better than some Marble ones that I tried. Repeat, love the gun, one of my favorite rifles.

I found a used Rossi in 44-40 in Gander Mt.  I walked out the door with it for under $100.  ;D  After raising the rear sight to the max it was still 10" low at 25 so it took it to the shop.  Had front sight filed down and added a brass bead.  Added Marbles tang peep swivel studs and had the cresent butt stippled.  It was going to be the 100 dollar who cares if I roll the quad with the gun in the rack gun.  It is now a fine shooter.  And I will care if I roll the quad with it in the rack.  I thought the trigger was better than on my Browning 92, but the smith said he made it a little better since he had it apart anyway. For no charge! ;D ;D ;D.

And yes I have rolled the quad with an orig 44-40 Win 73 in the rack.  I nearly broke both my wrists keeping the weight off the gun. :'(

I think the prices you are dealing with do seem high.  Will they come down some it you ask?

Just bought a 16" Legacy / Rossi Puma .45 LC in Texas for $ 410 out the door ( this included tax ) w/ 16" barrel - blue steel .  Best price I could find .

Shot it yesterday with ammo I had loaded for my S&W M25-5 .

     230 RNL & 250 FPL over 8 grains of Unique .  Mixed brass .

I think I lik this little rifle better than my Marlin .44 Mag carbine .  :-)

God bless

I have the LSI Rossi Puma 20" round barrel.  Great looking rifle and feels great like a Winchester.

Take a few minutes and go to LSI's website and check out their prices plus shipping, and some dealers that do the transaction for you want $20 for their services.    Oh, and don't forget the cost for the agony of waiting.    Then match it against Gibson's. :)
