Apparently for the price, 299.00 from Buffalo Arms, it is a good deal if you want to scope your rifle. The mounts are hard to lock, and keep locked, but once you learn how, it isn't that bad. The instructions for setting up leave a lot to be desired. There is a locking screw under the front mount, but if you tighten it, you can't adjust for height. The locking device on the top of the mount works well enough though. I, and the gunsmith that drilled and tapped the necessary four mounting holes in the barrel, both believed that the short scope looked better than the longer scope on the rifle. The weight is about 1 pound less than the longer scopes.
There can't be click adjustments for competition. I adjust by placing the cross hairs on the point of aim, and then adjusting the cross hairs to the point of impact.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change what I bought. As you can see, it does hold it's accuracy.
It isn't a long range scope as it can't adjust for the longer ranges. As of yet, I do not know how far out it will go.

ps While I was at the gunsmith's shop, I saw an Italian rifle, NOT a Pedersoli or Uberti, that had such a large hammer, the scope wouldn't fit over the barrel.
