Rockchucker for large rifle calibers?

Someone told me that the RC presses cant load anything loner than a 223 Remington round. Is this true? I dontthink it is but cant really find anything concrete to refute what Ive been told.

I need to be able to reload 223 Remigton, 308 Winchester, 3006 Springfield, and 762X39 Russian as wellas a few handgun calibers.

You are joking right?  ::) The RC is generally considered the gold standard in single stage presses for loading everything short of the .50 BMG and they now even have a larger model for that I think.

Here's the Rockchucker instructions .pdf, on pages 7 and 8 it shows the shell holders that are used with various calibers, don't see the 50BMG, but the 460 Weatherby Mag is on the list if that tells ya anything!! ;)

IIRC, the PiggyBack conversions for the RC can't handle anything larger than 223. Maybe that's what he was referring to?

The RC is a fine single stage press, but the gold standard is the Forster Co-Ax.

I have been using the first press I bought 30 years ago, a lowly RCBS Jr on everything up to and including the 416 Rigby. I am sure the Rockchucker will do it all  short of the 50 BMG.

I ran 7mm WSM, 25-06 and 30-06 through my Rockchucker Supreme this weekend.  NO problem there!

I use mine for .375 H&H. That's a long cartridge for the Rockchucker, but it's capable of doing it easily. There aren't many sporting rounds that are longer than the .375.

I saw some other posts about the 50BMG and the Rockchucker. That cartridge is definitely going to be too long for the Rockchucker.  If your cartridge is .375H&H length or perhaps a tiny bit longer, then the Rockchucker will work fine.

This "someone" you refer to....do they smoke crack ?

 I have had RC JR., RC JR2, RC and a RockChucker Supreme and all of them are capable of loading standard magnum length cartridges with no problem.

I believe the PB IV goes as far as .30-06 (or 3.34" max OAL), and can't do .25 ACP.

I think this is just an example of someone trying to get me to buy their press. Thanks for clearing it up.

I use my R.C. to load everything including 3" 12 ga shotshells

I also have a lee hand press that i use to crush 30-06 cases if I let them catch on the die mouth.
