I have some 10 ga. flares from WWII (I think) that are packed in wax blocks. You can read the lot number and date of manufacture through the wax. I was given these quite some time ago by a fellow who was mentioned in Chuck Yeager's book as the "crippled boy down the lane". I don't know any more about them, but I'm sure they would be of interest to someone. I'll try to get a picture of two, if I can find them.
