Check www.midwayusa.com . Lots of loaded ammo options. This cartridge has very low recoil and would be great for a smaller person. A number of people on this forum have used it on deer so I believe it is effective and adequate. I have a 6.8 and plan on using for deer.

Several guys here in Germany are using it for roe deer and smaller hogs.  It meets the energy requirements for high game here and the normal .30-30 doesn't.  No complaints here so far.  Personally I prefer more bullet weight, but it seems to be working...  don't know if I would use it as a first choice on big deer or big hogs but I'm sure it would work with the right bullets and good shot placement.
