wow, the Versapack is heavy

I was thinking about buying the Versapack to cannibalize for parts.  Was going to take the stockset and the 22 barrel to the 357 SB2 frame.  Then sell the 410 barrel and replace with a 20 guage barrel.  I was really surprised how heavy the SB1/Versapack frame really is.  The stock has a nice recoil pad compared to the one on my 223/308/44/now 357 frame.

Did you get one of the new synthetic Versa-packs or one of the older ones with the straight wood stock?
