picked up my mew ruger 357 bisley accusport
« on: June 02, 2007, 02:42:07 PM »
I just got  my new ruger 357 stainless bisley.  Sure do like it.  It is the first new revolver I have.  Other two were used.  The SRH was sent to ssk for some action work.  It's a little loose but shoots at 1 1/2 " at 50.  The new bisley is pretty stiff.  I'm really looking forward to shooting it enough to loosen it up some.

Excellant!  I love these Acusport models/  Grabbed a consec #ed pair of the .357 ones to go with the others.  Needed a shooter but went with a regular blued 357 Bisley.  (price was very right)  Bet you'll enjoy it!

Lloyd makes most guns easy to hit with but he's right it is a fun gun to shoot if you don't feel like pushing a 300+ grain bullet, and it does have the best trigger that I have ever seen on a stock Ruger.  I'm not ready to get rid of the 45's yet, but the 357 is a nice change of pace once in a while.

I have a couple 44's.  Thought the bisley 357 would be a change.  The blackhawk hunter and super blackhawk 44's are ok with 240's but are really accurate with the 300 plus grainers.  I never thought about going bigger but maybe the next change will be.

If you hang around here long enough Lloyd will eventually talk you into something bigger!  I think he gets a commission for the gun builders. :D  He will probably even tell you that your new Bisley is the perfect platform to start building on. ;)

My bisley vaquero is probably only a few hundred away from completion and I still haven't done that one yet! ::)

Guys, you all have to start thinking of the stock bisleys as adolescents.  I think that is what Lloyd does also.  These little guys are just waitng for you to help them decide what to be when they grow up into a real bisley.  I'm mailing a couple of them off next week to get all grown up :>)

I was kind of looking for a revolver for small game; squirrels, rabbits, fox, and especially coyotes.  My other two revolvers like the 300plus bullets.  Thought the 357 stainless bisley would be about right.

Just wondering, what do you guys use for these critters or should I assume you can't use too much gun?

I'm almost caught up on my "gotta have list".  Now I'm kinda thinking about a third one of these .357's Acusports for a shooter.  Have to see what they're going for come the end of August.  (that's when the last on the list should be here)
