LEE PRO 1000 PRESS
« on: June 03, 2007, 05:18:11 AM »
I been reading alot on the above press would like to purchase it for reloading the 1911 45 auto, seem some say it works other say the lee turret press is better.
I am not new to reloading been using a single stage RCBS CHUCKER  for the last 40 years for rifle but I need something better when it comes to bulk

I happen to use Lee presses , that being said if i get around to buying a new press it would NOT be a Lee 1000 , i have had a turret press for over 25 years and to this day can not get the auto index to work like it should and the 1000 uses the same system . for a little more money you can get a Dillon and have a press that will work like it should .

save your money and buy a  dillon or hornady. If you absolutely cant afford to skip either of lees progessives and buy one of there manual turents. In the long run youll probably make more rounds per hour on it then you will on one of there progressives.
