375 JDJ Safe?

I was told by a new worker at my local gun shop that it is not safe to shoot the factory 375 JDJ ammo in a contender frame(not G2).I think this guy is full of it but i want opinions,i trust the people on this site more than the new guy.Thanks for your time..Lenny M

Based on what I just read on the website, the loading appears to be pretty much standard for the 220 Hornady FP.  The claimed velocity is 2300 fps.  The Hornady loading manual gives loads up to 2200 fps.  You should have no problems with the factory ammo.

I would ask this person what the source of his information was/is.

Thompson/Center and J. D. Jones would not marked 375 JDJ barrels and 375 JDJ ammo for Contenders if said ammo wasn't safe in all Contenders.  Furthermore, I've shot factor 375 JDJ ammo in mine with no problem.
