Quick question about the Ultra Varmint Fluted Stock
« on: June 04, 2007, 06:22:41 AM »
Is the shoulder stock from the Ultra Varmint Fluted rifle available for purchase for NEF?  I am looking for a synthetic thumbhole stock, but the Survivor's lop is too short for me.

Also, has anyone tried one one of ATI's collapsible stocks the offer for Handi rifles?

I am mulling over my next project and I am gathering information right now.

Yes, it's also available direct from Choate.

The general consensus on the ATI is it's somewhat toy like, works great for a rimfire tho.

Thanks Quick,

I was afraid that was the case with ATI.  I have seen some of their gunstocks on milsurp guns and I was unimpressed.

You can order them from Choate as well as Midway. They are a little cheaper....

I wonder what NEF charges for them?

Thanks for the information.  Good stuff for me to consider.  I am thinking about getting a 243 Superlight (I am aware of the issues with that one) and putting the varmint stock on it.
