Trouble with the print in message box

Why does the print in the message box gets all scrambled up, I can only read
it when it is high lighted.

What screen resolution is your PC set at?  ??? Are you wearing polarized lenses in your sunglasses?? Is there a problem with your eyes since the surgery, maybe?

Got no clue, never heard of such and am not real clear what you're even saying. If you can't clear it up you need to contact Matt either via PM or in the Help Forum.

No I don't wear polarized glasses, just straigt sun glasses. If I watch my writing and don't go right to the end and manually enter the next line, no scramble.

My text size is set to medium, with the smaller type it does not do it. I guess I have to leave it at "smaller". But medium is a bit easier to read.

If it hasn't done this in the past for you I'd say it has to be something about your computer. We've made no changes to our server to cause it and no one else has mentioned it.

No big deal. I can leave it at "smaller" type.

Fred, maybe you need to change your screen resolution, I use 1024x768, but you may want to try 800x600. Here's instructs for WinXP.

My computer was set at 1024x768. I set it now to 800x600. Pretty big print and it does not quite fit the screen width. So I think I set it back to 1024x768.

Fred, turn off spell check by unchecking the box below the message window, see if that helps. Spell check has caused other problems, maybe you found another. :(

Tim with the medium text size anwith the spell check disabled no more scrambles.

How do turn the spell check back on?

Just check the box. ;) I don't use it, I use the google toolbar which has a spellchecker built in. I'd disable the advanced features if you decide to try it.

Tim this Google tool bar really slows things down. I am going to un-install it.

Fred,

If the Google tool bar is slowing you down think about trying Firefox 2.x, it has a built in spell checker that will underline the word if it is misspelled, then you just right click on the word and there is a list of words that it could be to replace it with. That is what I use all the time and it works great for me.

Well I give Firefox a try. Do I wipe out the MS Internet explorer after or do I leave it.? But before I do I will check with my computer guru.

Fred,

No, you can leave IE installed, as a matter of fact it is damn hard to uninstall, you can thank Bill Gates for that one. I switched to FireFox when it first came out and haven't looked back since.

I use 800x600 resolution and there is perhaps 1/4" to scroll if I wanted to on the screen but there is no text or anything in that 1/4" so I don't bother and just ignore it. Of course I do use a 32" monitor. No that's NOT a misprint. My monitor is a 32" one.

How come it's funny that I'm old and blind and need a MONSTER monitor so I can see?  :o

Bill,

I think it is funny that your monitor is bigger than my TV  :o But then one of the guys at work has a 40" monitor and uses a magnifying glass to read it. I think he runs it in 640x480 and scrolls around to find what he needs. We are all getting older, I need to get a second set of glasses just to use when I am working on the computer myself.

I run my old computer (W2000 for an OS) at 640x480 resolution but my new one with XP X64 won't run below 800x600 but this 32" monitor makes things big enough even I can see it. This one is also set up as a back up for our TV in case the wife wants to watch something different than me. Our primary TV is a 61".
