Barrel turn around times
« on: June 07, 2007, 05:31:47 PM »
Anybody know what the current shotgun barrel turn around times are. I am sending in the youth model that I bought in 28 ga and having both a 410 and 20 ga barrels made. Just curious as to how long I will have to wait. 28 ga was just a little stiff for the grandson yet he likes the double barrel 410 I have but it is really to big for him and I don't want to cut it down.

Lately, it's been as quick as 3 weeks including shipping for in-stock barrels. ;)

They are definitely doing better. Action left on 6-11-07 arrived at H&R on 6-14-07 and I got it back on 06-26-07 It started life as 28 ga. It is now a three barrel set 410 28 ga 20 ga. With the youth synthetic stock set the grand kids love it and they grow up with it moving up in gauge as they grow ;D

That is great news! I am currently sitting with the order form on my lap with 5 barrels written in, and I haven't been here for so long I thought I'd ask this very question!

For the curious it started as a youth .410, and it's getting the following barrels:

16 ga. 28" Full
12 ga. 22" Mod
28 ga. 22" Mod
20 ga. 24" Rifled Slug
.50 Cal 26" (1 in 28" twist)

I keep picking it back up and shooting it instead of shipping it off! That ends today.

Better get it in, they're gonna shut down for 2 weeks some time this summer, it wouldn't hurt to find out when, just in case. ;)

Just now called NEF on my order for Turkey barrel, .223 bull and Black powder.  It has been close to 4 months.  The culllpret has been the Black powder barrel.  They say it should ship next week as they got in some BP barrels.  If you need BP now is a good time.  I hope.

That is good news on the BP barrels. I have been waiting seven weeks so far.

Yahoo, BBT just dropped mine off. I sent my receiver for the .50 Cal barrel. It looks good. Everything was packaged like brand new with manual and paperwork, The new stock and scope base was installed and the hammer extension was in the package also.

They lightened and smoothed the trigger nicely like I asked.

I am ready to shoot it.
