Just put one on( .50 cal) my T/C Hawken sparkchucker and was wondering what kind of accuracy you folks are getting.I'm using a .495 ball and .020 patch.Loads tolerably tight and 70gr of Swiss 2f gives me 2 1/2 inch 50 yard groups.Seems to me it ought to do better than that. But its probably me, I'm not espicially good with a flinter...yet. I heard that the Penn. Game Commission has ammended the post Christmas flintlock season rules to FINALLY allow aperture sights
.We've waited a long time for this.

My 1/70 twist GM .50 caliber, mounted on a T/C Renegade, with a .018 patch and .490 round ball shoots a lot like Slam Fire's......at 50 yards. around 1/2 inch at 50 yards is not uncommon, and 1" is consistently done. I shoot 70 grains of pyrodex.
