Ruger 22 auto magazine question
« on: June 09, 2007, 01:48:45 PM »
Greetings from Hot and Sultry SC: Went to the gun show today and bought a Ruger magazine that the dealer said was an original factory MkI magazine. The loading button is on the right side of the mag if the gun is in the firing position and will not load into my Ruger Mk I target. The left side of the magazine is solid so I can't switch the loading button like you can on later mags. The mag holds 9 rounds, does anyone know what I have here ??? I have pics and will email to you since I can't figger out how to put them here

A little research works wonders. The mag is a factory original for the standard model and mark I's made before 1971 when the grip frame slot for the follower button was moved to the left side. Its for sale if you're interested email me.
